Kartik Tiwari also known as Kartik Aaryan was born on November 22, 1988 in Gwalior. After completing his schooling from St Paul’s and Kiddy’s School in Gwalior, he shifted to Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra to pursue engineering. But actually, it was his love for acting that brought him to Maharashtra. Kartik was pursuing his engineering from D.Y. Patil College, Navi Mumbai, when he was approached for Pyaar Ka Punchnama.

Kartik essayed the lead role of Rajat in the film. Kartik wanted to try for films after the completion of his B. Tech course, but he got lucky in the third year of the course itself when the project fell onto his lap.
